Practice Equipment Checklist
by posted 01/13/2020

Reminder to most, expectation setting for everyone regarding practice participation:

Come ready to practice:  be focused, ready to go by 6:30pm.  This means all gear is on, ready to go by start time.

What you need (bare minimum):

Helmet, Cup, Mouthguard, Gloves, Stick, Cleats and other safety equipment.  If you are not fully prepared with safety equipment, we cannot allow you to participate in practice.  Parents:  this is a good opportunity to reinforce players responsibility to make sure they have everything they need.  Highly suggest water bottle (they will need it)

When the players step foot inside the playing field, they are entering the Coaches house.  Proper responses are "Yes, Coach" and "No, Coach."  The field belongs to us and the players are allowed to play in our house as long as they are participating in a proper manner.  As Coach Julian mentioned, more to come on Player Code of Conduct.

Lastly, and most important, ask your child how practice went.  And encourage more than a one word answer like "fine."  Ask them what they learned that night or what a major theme/focus was.  I'd appreciate direct feedback if your child feels they are not getting what they expected out of practices.  It's my responsibility to make sure they are learning and growing as lacrosse players and individuals in general.

And as always, I'm an open book - feel free to reach out to myself or coach Julian with any questions you may have.
